The Quality and Food Safety Policy of SILICIUM ESPAÑA LABORATORIOS, S.L. has the fundamental objective of ensuring that all its food supplements are safe, harmless, and of high quality, complying with applicable legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements, as well as the needs and expectations of customers, consumers, and society in general. Food safety is a strategic commitment of Management and an individual responsibility of all members of the organization.
For this reason, we direct our actions to:
• ENSURE THE FOOD SAFETY AND QUALITY OF PRODUCTS stored and distributed, ensuring that the necessary conditions are maintained to preserve their safety, integrity, and conformity throughout all activities included within the scope of the FSMS.
• COMPLY WITH LEGAL, REGULATORY, STANDARD, AND CONTRACTUAL REQUIREMENTS applicable to food supplements, both in Spain and in destination markets, maintaining active monitoring of legislation and other relevant requirements.
• ESTABLISH, MAINTAIN, AND CONTINUOUSLY IMPROVE THE FSMS, in accordance with the requirements of ISO 22000:2018, ISO/TS 22002-5:2019, and FSSC 22000 scheme version 6, ensuring its relevance, suitability, and effectiveness.
• PROVIDE A FRAME OF REFERENCE for the establishment, monitoring, and review of FSMS objectives, aligned with this policy and with the strategic direction of the organization.
• PROMOTE A FOOD SAFETY CULTURE AT ALL LEVELS OF THE ORGANIZATION, encouraging participation, awareness, communication, and individual responsibility in relation to product safety, quality, and conformity.
• ENSURE THE COMPETENCE OF PERSONNEL CARRYING OUT ACTIVITIES THAT AFFECT FOOD SAFETY, through training, development, awareness-raising, and evaluation of the effectiveness of the actions undertaken.
• MAINTAIN EFFECTIVE INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL COMMUNICATION, that ensures the timely, truthful, and traceable transmission of information related to food safety, customer requirements, legal and regulatory requirements, incidents, and any other information relevant to the FSMS.
• PREVENT, IDENTIFY, AND MITIGATE VULNERABILITIES ASSOCIATED WITH FOOD FRAUD, establishing risk-proportionate measures and strengthening control over suppliers, products, and the supply chain.
• PREVENT INTENTIONAL ACTS THAT MAY COMPROMISE PRODUCT SAFETY OR INTEGRITY, by applying food defense measures appropriate to the activity, facilities, and identified risks.
• PROMOTE CUSTOMER SATISFACTION through the delivery of products and services that comply with established requirements, with an approach based on continuous improvement and process effectiveness.
• PROMOTE RESPONSIBLE RESOURCE MANAGEMENT, including the prevention and reduction of food waste, inventory optimization, and the minimization of avoidable losses, without compromising food safety in any case.
• INTEGRATE ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY AND CLIMATE CHANGE MITIGATION CRITERIA into the management of the organization, insofar as they are applicable to its activities and contribute to the resilience, sustainability, and improvement of the system.
Management undertakes to review this policy periodically, at least annually, as well as to ensure that it is communicated, understood, applied, and kept available to personnel and relevant interested parties.
This Quality and Food Safety Policy is available for public consultation at the organization's facilities and through the communication channels defined by SILICIUM ESPAÑA LABORATORIOS, S.L.
